Jon Ryan is enjoying his time off from social media.
The Seahawks punter told that since deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts he feels like he “just got out of a bad relationship,” and “now I’m free.”

Ryan had a with someone over Instagram, after posting about the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando. One commenter wrote: 鈥淲here in the bible does it say it鈥檚 ok to be (sic) homo sexual?鈥 Ryan responded, 鈥溾 please unfollow me. You鈥檙e a terrible human being 鈥 please stop cheering for the Seahawks. We don鈥檛 want piece of (expletive) fans like you. Thanks.鈥
The Times reports that it was Ryan’s decision to shut down the accounts. If the Seahawks organization asked him to take down the accounts, Ryan told the Times he would have kept them up.
Ryan would do it all over again, too. He told the Times his “only regret” is not responding to the comments “more harshly.”
The Seahawks punter’s decision to criticize insensitive comments have received support, including — and not surprisingly — from his 蹿颈补苍肠茅别.
I’ve been telling Jon about all the amazing tweets I’ve been getting today thanking him for not being afraid to stand for what is right. 鉂わ笍
