A power outage affected nearly 3,000 Seattle City Light customers Thursday morning in North Seattle.

The power outage began at 8:28 a.m., affecting areas between North Seattle’s Victory Heights and Meadowbrook neighborhoods.

Power outage affects thousands of Seattle City Light customers

At the time the power outage was announced, Seattle City Light reported that 2,797 customers were affected. As of 10 a.m., the number of customers affected by the outage is 622.

The estimated power restoration time is set for 3 p.m. Seattle City Light crews are currently investigating the cause of the power outage.

Additionally, another 321 customers lost power in South Seattle, west of South Seattle College. This outage started at 9:17 a.m., with power expecting to be restored by 12:40 p.m.
