Seattle police are investigating after a Seattle City Council candidate’s campaign sign was defaced with racist graffiti.

is running in District Four in North Seattle. His campaign’s finance director says he woke up early to find a sign in his yard spray-painted with foul words and a racial slur against African Americans.

“If they were ever identified, I would like someone to ask them if they were fully cognizant of the impact of what they did, and levying that word as a racial insult against a black person, if they’re aware of what that comes with,” he told ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio.

But, he says it wasn’t the first time. He says other signs have been defaced; this is just the first time it’s been reported.
