The Seattle Kraken, the NHL’s brand-new team, will hit the ice for its first regular season game at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12. The Kraken will be facing off against the NHL’s previous expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights.
Back home in Seattle, fans are preparing to celebrate the arrival of the city’s newest team.
The Kraken Community Iceplex at Northgate is hosting its first “.” It’s a family friendly, dry event that will include giveaways, prizes, a live DJ, and hockey insights from Kraken staff. Seating and programming begins at 6:30 p.m., but the iceplex says it’s already at capacity for spectator-only admission where fans will be able to sit in the rink bleachers to watch the game on a 32-foot screen.
If you’re still interested in attending, you can purchase public skate and viewing admission for $20, but advanced registration is required. Skate rental is $5 per person.
The 32 Bar & Grill at the Kraken Community Iceplex is not yet open.
