A case of road rage ended after a brief standoff with State Patrol during the morning commute.
State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson says the incident began around State Route 167 and ended up at northbound I-5 near Boeing Field, with one woman calling police saying someone brandished a weapon.

“We believed there was a weapon involved due to the reporting party making a statement that could have been construed as there being a weapon, but there was not,” said Johnson.
Recently a road rage incident ended in gunfire in the parking lot of a Mill Creek Safeway store. This one ended peacefully.
Troopers detained the three people in the car and issued citations to everyone involved. No word on whether anyone will face criminal charges.
“Everything’s clear. We really don’t want people doing this on the freeways. It caused a commotion today,” he said. “Obviously we’re going to respond to these things if we believe there may be a weapon involved and we’re going to do a felony stop.”
