Students in Seattle won’t be allowed to attend school if their immunization status isn’t updated in their records by Wednesday Jan. 8.

The district says it is notifying families of students whose records are not up to date or are missing via email, mail, or in a letter sent home with the child.

Washington state law requires that students are fully vaccinated, in the process of finishing immunization, or have a signed Certificate of Exemption before they can attend school. However, exemption is not allowed for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) as of July 28, 2019 per .

Students who need immunizations are offered free clinics:

Friday, December 27, 2019, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
