The current home of techies and a juice bar could be the next stop for a hit reality show.
RW Productions is eyeing the Ballou Wright building, 1517 12th Ave., for 18 months worth of filming, according to documents filed with the City of Seattle. RW Productions is known for its connection to such hit television reality shows as the hit MTV show “The Real World.”
The building would be transformed from warehouse/retail into a movie studio, according to the city. Crews would alter the building before it becomes temporarily occupied.
An estimated $45,000 would be spent to make the necessary changes to the building before filming begins, according to city documents.
If “The Real World” is in fact coming to Seattle, it would be the second time the show has been filmed in the Emerald City. Seattle hosted the show for its seventh season in 1998.
