Dozens of items were vacuum packed and placed in Monday.

Challenge: What would you put in a Space Needle time capsule?

The over 100-pound capsule was sealed at 8 a.m. with instructions to open it on April 21, 2062, the Space Needle鈥檚 100th anniversary.

“We’re really excited for this day to come, and I’m even more excited for the reactions that people in 2062 are going to have when they open the lid and pull these items out,” said Space Needle spokesperson Dave Mandapat.

Inside are over 100 items, including selections from the Space Needle archives, as well as from prominent and everyday citizens. That ranges from a Purple Heart medal from a military veteran who served in Iraq, to signed baseballs from Edgar Martinez, Ichiro Suzuki, and Felix Hernandez.

Joining those personal items are vinyl records from Seattle’s Sub Pop record label, a single share of Amazon stock, a signed Pearl Jam poster, and illustrations from Nordstrom guessing at what fashion will look like in the 2060s.

The Needle owners built a clear box so they can display the time capsule. That’s largely due to the fact that last Space Needle time capsule was a little 迟辞辞听well hidden, getting opened 15 years late in 2017, after it was stumbled on by workers during renovations.

“The last time capsule … was placed into a steel beam on the observation deck and covered up with plaster,” Mandapat noted.

As for what 成人X站 Radio and KTTH hosts would put in if it was up to them, the suggestions were diverse after an informal office poll.

Dave Ross, 成人X站 Radio:聽I think we should put in one of those free copies of Seattle apartments for rent, so people can see exactly how much it cost to live here.

Michael Medved, KTTH:聽A panoramic photograph of the historic Fort Lawton site in Discovery Park before it is irretrievably trashed by current plans to locate 鈥渓ow income housing鈥 on the premises.

Chris Sullivan, traffic reporter:聽Maybe a ripped blue tarp. A couple heroin needles. And probably a cop so we can say 鈥淗ey, back in the day, we used to have people enforcing the laws. Because I鈥檓 sure with cops leaving in droves鈥︹

Hanna Scott, 成人X站 Radio reporter:聽An Alexa. Or a review of the final Game of Thrones season. For a more local flavor, a pic of the 5-Point [Cafe]. I also like the idea of putting some newspapers in there. Right now, we still have newspapers, but for how long?

Daron Casey, KTTH producer:聽How big is it? Could it fit a LimeBike?

Jason Rantz, KTTH:聽I鈥檇 include the blog post I write of Kshama Sawant鈥檚 inevitable defeat or over-due retirement from politics 鈥 and a locket of my incredible hair.

Candy Harper, 成人X站 Radio:聽A Seattle rental agreement so you see how much the astronomical rent is, and the unique amendments like 100 percent smoke-free environment including marijuana, extra dog amenities, and outlining Uber pick up areas.

Jillian Raftery, 成人X站 Radio:聽Definitely a bottle of wine that will age well. Nothing is better than being surprised with a good drink.

Todd Herman, 成人X站 Radio:聽A collection of one day鈥檚 worth of spent heroin needles from public parks in Seattle with a series of headlines explaining all is well in the Emerald City.

Nick Bowman, MyNorthwest:聽Whiskey from local distilleries, like Westland, Copperworks, and Oola. Show the Seattleites of the future that we know our way around fine, aged spirits.

Chason Gordon, MyNorthwest:聽I would put in a mini Space needle.

Stephanie Klein, MyNorthwest:聽A gallon of milk.
