Street sweeper catches fire, ruins Lynnwood-Bellevue commute

Drivers who found themselves moving at a crawl on southbound I-405 Thursday morning were most likely delayed by a street sweeper that caught fire.
The sweeper broke down just after 7 a.m., 成人X站 Radio’s Chris Sullivan reports. The fire and emergency response blocked all lanes but the express toll lane for more than 10 minutes.

成人X站 7’s Alexis Smith called I-405 a “parking lot,” due to the fire.
The backup was at least six miles. Chris Sullivan says it caused at least a 20-minute delay between Lynnwood and Bellevue, making the drive about an hour.
The street sweeper was towed away around 7:40 a.m.
SB 405 at 522 they've towed the disabled vehicle, all lanes clear, but a big backup remains.
