Two Kirkland men are charged with a random, home invasion in which a teenager was yanked from his bed and tortured.
King County prosecutors call the 6 a.m. attack on October 12 unprovoked, alleging that the two men planned to kill a stranger. According to charging documents in the case, the men used a large knife to hack at the teenager and inflect deep cuts on the 18-year-old man’s leg, shoulder, and head.
The victim eventually was able to punch one of his attackers in the face, causing him to run off.
Vincent Sisounong, 21, and Blessing Gainey, 19, were arrested almost two weeks later. Each charged with attempted murder and burglary.
Prosecutors say the older defendant admitted to a detective that he wanted the victim to “fight for his life.” The detective then asked Sisounong if the experience was enjoyable? He answered, “yeah.”
Arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 12.
