A six-story and five-story building are slated for construction on a site that will feature 80 apartmments, four town homes, office space, and a Bartell Drugs.
“We wanted to provide residents and tenants with well-designed spaces that also have the net benefit of providing lower operating costs and environmental preservation,” said Mark Craig, President of Henbart LLC. “We don’t think that you need to choose between dynamic design, high-end finishes and environmental stewardship.”
Areas of The Commons will be intended to be used by residents and office tenants. The common areas will allow people to “share amenities,” according to information from Henbart.
The buildings will include 21,885 square feet of office space on two floors and 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail along 22nd Avenue.
Along with the Bartell Drugs, approximately 5,000 square feet of restaurant or shop space will be available.
The northern building, directly across, will combine two stories of residential units with two floors of office space.
Bike storage will be available on every residential floor. There will be underground parking and eight electric vehicle charging stations with the capacity to add 19 more if demand grows.
The project is scheduled to be complete by August 2016.
