Seattle police hope to track down two teenaged suspects after a 17-year-old girl was brutally stabbed early Saturday.
Just after midnight, police found blood on the door of a Delridge-area house, after they were called to the scene of a burglary and assault.
They quickly discovered there was a 17-year-old girl inside with stab wounds all over her body.
Officers say she had lost a lot of blood.
They pulled her to safety and arriving Seattle Fire Department medics began treating her for her injuries.
Police say the home where she was attacked is on 17th S.W., about a block east of Sanislo Elementary.
Officers immediately entered the house, believing the suspects were still inside.
Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview, where she’s in serious, but stable condition.
Police called out a SWAT team and hostage negotiators and set up a perimeter around the house.
After obtaining a search warrant from a judge, they entered the house.
Officers searched, but did not find anyone.
Investigators say they are looking for two teen suspects, a boy and a girl.
They learned the pair left the scene of the attack before the first officers arrived.
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the violent assault.
