A person has been taken to the hospital in critical condition following a large house fire in Seattle鈥檚 Wallingford neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Almost 100 firefighters responded to the scene, according to Seattle Fire.
The fire was reported around 1:10 a.m. at a home on Sunnyside Ave. N, near N Northlake Way.
It鈥檚 unclear how the fire started, but Seattle Fire said they were rescued at least one person from the home. The person was found on the ground within a few feet from the doorway.
They were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported.
Crews evacuated the building due to concerns of the roof collapsing. Thankfully, the fire did not spread to neighboring homes.
Wires are down on the north end of the home.
Utility companies are on scene to shut off electricity and natural gas to the building.
The fire was put out in about an hour and a half.
The cause is still under investigation.
