The weather during Wednesday morning’s commute was nice, but the drive was far from pleasant for some.

Things quickly went from normal backups to frustratingly-long backups for some drivers, especially those heading north.
An “incident” blocked the 4th Avenue ramp from I-90 to northbound I-5.
Blocking incident on 4th Ave ramp to NB 5 is clearing. Good amount of backup but ramp is open/starting to clear up.

That cleared, but it wasn’t long before a crash blocked the left lane of the southbound I-5 express lanes.
IRT leading crash scene out of the way on SB 5 Express Lanes. Remember if you can steer you can clear.

Meanwhile, over on the Eastside, first responders were dealing with a crash slowing the commute for drivers trying to go southbound I-405 to westbound I-90.
Trying to go SB 405 to WB 90? There will be a backup as this crash scene is blocking the HOV ramp for that merge.

The icing on the cake: a crash that blocked all of northbound State Route 99, near South Park.
Fire has rolled up to a crash on NB 99 that’s blocking the right lane and most of the ramp from S Cloverdale St.

By the time crews cleared everything, drivers had already dealt with significant delays. And, unfortunately for northbound drivers, those delays were much worse.
Is this why I have been on freeway for 1.5 hours?
