The Whole Foods Market store in Capitol Hill, located on Madison and Broadway, is shuttering its doors June 20.
The store rested at the base of the Danforth apartment building. The two-level, 40,000-square-foot market debuted in Capitol Hill in October 2018.
鈥淎ll team members will transfer to roles at nearby Whole Foods Market locations,鈥 a Whole Foods Market spokesperson said in a prepared statement. 鈥淲e regularly evaluate the performance and growth potential of our stores and make decisions to position the company for long-term success.鈥
The store’s 鈥減erformance and growth potential鈥 were cited as reasons to close the Broadway Whole Foods grocery store.
Whole Foods has four other locations in the City of Seattle.
