Wildfire near Moses Lake evacuates Lind, destroys 10 homes

In Eastern Washington, the small town of Lind, near Moses lake, was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a fire .
Three wildfires across Eastern Washington burn 22,000 acres
The rural town is only roughly 500 people large. Many headed to Ritzville for shelter.
The fire is estimated to be about 2,000 acres large. The Adams County Sheriff’s office says 10 homes have been lost.
About 70 miles east, the recommended evacuation zone grew at a wildfire near Williams lake that’s already taken out two structures.
And a fire in Yakima County between Ellensburg and Naches is threatening at least 50 homes. Residents there being told to stay away.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office is asking all residents who are evacuated to go to Ritzville Grade School. Highway 395, in both directions, will be closed from Paha-Packard Road southbound and Cunningham Road northbound.
