For the first time in a decade, the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks will not have the name “Hasselbeck” on the back of his uniform.

The Seahawks have decided not to re-sign free agent quarterback Matt Hasselbeck after head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider called the 13th-year quarterback to say “they’re moving on.”

After the news broke Tuesday afternoon, we asked the 12th Man about their favorite memories of Hasselbeck in a Seahawks uniform on the Twitter account.

Here are a few of the responses:

@95MiracleMs: “His prediction on the coin flip at GB in overtime off playoff game. Didn’t work, but gutsy.”

@jdboerger: “We want the ball, and we’re gonna score!” Luv the energy, not the outcome. We’ll miss ya @Hasselbeck! Best of luck!”

@KwSeaHwkFanatic: “my favorite memory was matt and shuan leading the way in 2005 to the super bowl. #GOSeaHawks”

@chambosscity: “It has to be the Saints game last year. So much adversity. Great performance!”

@GoSeaHox: “When he took out two tacklers with a flying block on a looong run play. Holmgren chewed him out later, but it was beautiful.”

@IAMJimmyMoore: “When Matt was running along with all the blockers during the BEASTQUAKE vs. Saints last year. Everyone was ALL IN that play.”

@JoeyTaylorASU: “My favorite memory was watching him grow as a Seahawk thru the years and becoming the face of Seattle Sports.”

@jadawil: “All these memories of @Hasselbeck are not helping the lump in my throat. #ringofhonor

@jrbates81: “I enjoyed @Hasselbeck’s charisma, sense of humor & poise. #’s dont make him a HOF QB but he always acted like one.”
