Baby names go old school, really old school

babyStephanie writes…

If you’re a new parent, you may be hauling around an iPad and a Gertrude.

According to , old-fashioned baby names are popping up in new data from the Social Security Administration. And not Bible-old names, but names from the 1890’s to 1950’s (we haven’t reached Barbara and Susan stages, yet.)

The best part is Naomi and Jasper sound more fresh than Jason or Alison, and chances are pretty good you’re honoring an aunt or cousin from years past who you probably didn’t even know existed.

Parenting’s list even includes Everett, which just sparks a whole new list based on locations: Baby Bellevue anyone?

The 20 names Parenting says are back:

Clara, Charlie, Eli, Naomi, Alice, Henry, Olive, Leo, Lillian, Jasper, Amelia, Everett, Nora, Silas, Adeline, Max, Hazel, Owen, Stella, Oliver

Special shout out to two new bebes in my family: Dalton and Stella!
