This holiday season, Seattle Radio Theatre and ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio returned with the magic of a live old-timey radio drama.

“A Green & White Christmas,” a radio play written and directed by Seattle Radio Theatre founder Feliks Banel, finds a 1950s Seattle family trying to celebrate their Christmas Eve tradition of visiting the old Frederick & Nelson department store downtown when an ill-timed snowstorm threatens to upend everything. But a Frederick’s doorman and department store Santa go above and beyond to try and make it a meaningful Christmas for everyone.

The 2020 holiday radio play stars many favorite voices from ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio — including Dave Ross, Chris Sullivan, Ursula Reutin, Colleen O’Brien, Gee Scott, Mike Lewis, and more — and features live sound effects!

If you missed the live performance on Thursday, Dec. 17, listen to the full play below:

Ordinarily, ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio would welcome hundreds of listeners to watch the annual holiday play in person at Town Hall Seattle. However, due to the pandemic, this year’s performance relied solely on the magic of radio (as well as those newer audio devices) to bring listeners together for the holiday fun, no matter where they may be.
