U.S. officials on Friday are saying Osama bin Laden’s hideout in Pakistan contained an “extensive stash of pornography.”

first reported the story, saying the pornography includes videos and is “extensive.” It’s not clear if bin Laden was the owner of the collection or if he even viewed the videos. It’s also unclear how people living at the compound acquired the pornography.

Reports say bin Laden’s compound did not have an internet connection, but videos released of bin Laden watching himself on television indicates the compound was outfitted with video playback equipment.

According to Reuters, “U.S. officials familiar with evidence gathered during investigations of other Islamic militants” said finding pornography is not uncommon.
