Despite claims he had some kind of sexual relationship with Susan Powell, a close friend of the missing Puyallup mom tells our Dori Monson that is a lie.
Kiirsi Helewell, who met the couple when they first moved to Utah, said that Susan did not have anything close to that type of relationship with her father-in-law.
“It is a total lie. Susan would never ever allow her father-in-law to touch her. She hated him. She told me many times that she hated him. She could not stand him. She only put up with visiting him when they went to Washington to visit their families because it was Josh’s family and he deserved to spend time with his family.”
West Valley City, Utah detectives searched the Puyallup home of Joshua Powell, and his father on Thursday. They are looking for evidence relating to the disappearance of Josh’s wife Susan, who has been missing since December, 2009.
Steven Powell is not a suspect in his daughter-in-law’s disappearance.
