Where’s Waldo? At the movies

What theater will you go to when it’s time to search for Waldo?

On the heels of an announcement that once-cherished computer game (Carmen Sandiego) would be hitting the big screen, Hollywood announces another educational character is bound for Hollywood immortalization.

If you’ve ever wondered where Waldo was, or had even spotted Waldo in a real life, (usually on October 31,) then you might be thrilled to spot him in on the big screen.

MGM announced they secured the rights to the white and red-striped world traveler for a “live-action family adventure.”

While rights have been secured, nothing else has been announced, including who will play the most hard-to-find man in the book business. Also, no word on the plot. (Forcing to search for him among a myriad of characters over and over on movie screens could give us a headache.)

Meanwhile, when it comes to characters that your children loved in the early 1990s, Jennifer Lopez has signed on to produce a live-action version of Carmen Sandiego. Some have speculated that she’ll also be playing the title character in the movie, but that might only be because she’s been seen wearing large hats lately.
