This was a tough call to share this one today because it’s not a topic you’d typically associate with a “dose of kindness.” However, I think the lengths many people went to in order to save a life is worth sharing.
takes place in Oak Park, Michigan. A man was threatening to jump from a highway overpass and police organized a unique way to help him.
They called for or flagged down multiple semi-truck truck drivers and had them line up across all lanes of the highway under the overpass. This way, if the man did jump, the fall would be short and likely not life-threatening.
The video of the semi-truck lineup has gone viral now and seeing it, you stop to think for a second about how all of those truckers stopped what they were doing to save a life. They took the time.
In the end, the man didn’t jump. He walked off the bridge and was helped by police.
