On Tuesday, we found out that Jeff Simpson, one of the men who claims that Ed Murray raped him as a child, got a $75,000 payout from the City of Seattle. The lawsuit said that the City of Seattle bore some responsibility because Ed Murray stood up, while he was still mayor, and blasted all of his accusers.

The question arose, why did Simpson not go after Ed Murray? Well, Ed Murray told us when he was first accused that he had no money for his accusers to go after. That’s why we, the taxpayers, had to pay it off.

With all that in mind, guess what Ed Murray was doing on Tuesday, while the taxpayers were picking up the cost of his alleged transgressions? In a Tweet from Seattle Times reporter Jim Brunner, it turns out that Seattle Times columnist Nicole Brodeur, who has been traveling in Paris this week, spotted Murray and his husband in line to go up the Eiffel Tower.

Isn’t that great? He told us he was broke, that he didn’t have any assets. Of course, he is collecting a $115,000-per-year pension for the rest of his life because government work is pretty sweet when you can swindle that many people. So while you and I are paying his alleged victims $75,000, he’s off at the Eiffel Tower having a grand old time.

I just wanted you to know that your $75,000 investment in paying off Ed Murray’s child rape accusers is freeing him up to go on fabulous Parisian vacations. That’s money well-spent for us taxpayers, isn’t it?
