If there’s one thing most of us insist upon when we travel, it’s a free Internet connection. Sure, I get the concept of unplugging, but I like to have options. So how can you find a good connection without paying a bundle? The good news is, more and more airports are offering free wireless Internet.

has also announced that it’s offering free WiFi in all of its lobbies. We’re talking as many as 500 hotels around the world—and the cool thing is, anyone can use it.

Still can’t find a connection on the road? Talk to your cable provider about whether you can connect to a WiFi hotspot while you’re on the road. Or check in with your cell provider about a 3G or 4G device that turns your cell phone into a mobile hotspot. Just watch out for nearby laptop users taking advantage of your bandwidth!
