Meet Melvin, a reserved 1-year-old fellow who would like nothing more than to be as close to you as possible, where he can feel safe and secure.

He’s a handsome black and brown German Shepherd mix with the most endearing personality and disposition. Melvin loves to go for walks and checks in frequently with his walker. He’s a people dog, much more focused on his humans than the dogs around him.

What a wonderful companion he’ll be for just the right person who can build his confidence and help him grow into the wonderful dog he was meant to be. His sweet gentle nature is so eager to please. Melvin’s future family will want to use gentle training techniques; our Shy Dog Manners class may be a good place to start. Take the time to get to know Melvin — you can meet him today at the Seattle Humane!
