Steve Ballmer should buy the LA Clippers

The saga of racist LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling is – hopefully – nearing its end after the NBA on Tuesday announced it would ban him for life and fine him $2.5 million.
One last item before Sterling is gone from the headlines is for the NBA board of governors to force Sterling to sell the team. The rumor mill says that all sorts of celebrities, including Oprah, Magic Johnson, and David Geffen, are interested in buying the team.
But in a cross talk on the Sterling issue with host Ben Shapiro, Michael Medved says that former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer should buy the team and bring the Sonics back to Seattle.
“The point over here is who he’s going to sell it to at this point,” Medved said. “We want Steve Ballmer to buy it, bring it up here.”
Shapiro was still wondering why the NBA was only taking action after Sterling said something in what he thought was a private conversation. He has a history of racist actions, including discriminatory housing practices.
“I don’t understand why the why the country has become OK with being the thought police. Donald Sterling has been a racist for 30 years. Wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to be outraged when he was discriminating against black people in housing, not when he makes a private comment to his mistress?” Shapiro wondered.
