Trump: Why Boeing will leave, or stay, in Washington

Aug 29, 2016, 12:34 PM | Updated: 3:28 pm

Ahead of his visit to Washington, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told 成人X站 Radio’s Dori Monson that there are things he cannot guarantee. For example, if he is not elected president of the United States, he can’t promise that big companies like Boeing won’t leave Washington.

Trump says “a lot of good things are going to happen” in the state if “politicians are careful.”

“But you better be careful, because you know what’s going on with Boeing and Boeing’s building a massive facility in China,” Trump said. “And then they’ll drop their currency and start devaluations as they always do. And then they’ll start taking your business away and you won’t have very much of Boeing left.”

Trump says if he is elected president over Hillary Clinton that won’t happen.

“But believe me, they are looking to get your businesses out of there,” he continued. “And you know how bad the trade deals have been for Washington state because they are very unfair deals.

“Now you live with them but we should do more than live with them.”

Trump says that before we know it, “they won’t be making the planes in Washington.”

Though he’s worried about people in Washington losing jobs and businesses outsourcing work, he isn’t very concerned with Washington’s relationship with Canada. Dori asked him if a wall between the state and our friends to the north will ever be necessary.

“I think it’s unlikely to be honest with you,” the Republican told Dori.

Trump is hosting a rally in Everett on Tuesday. It will begin at 7 p.m. at Xfinity Arena. Gates open at 4 p.m. Trump鈥檚 campaign added the rally to his Friday.

Senator Doug Ericksen (R-Whatcom County) says people attending the Everett rally should expect to see the Republican Nominee doing the things that聽have been 鈥渟uccessful.鈥

It鈥檚 also uncertain if he will have any special guests. That too can change on a day-to-day basis, Ericksen explained.

What is certain, according to Ericksen, is the excitement around the rally.

鈥淭he response we鈥檝e had so far to the ticket sales has been overwhelming,鈥 he said.

However, Dori wonders why Trump would bother coming to such a “blue” state.

“Well it’s true, but we seem to have great receptivity there,” Trump explained. “We’ve got very good numbers from other states where we’re sort of in the same position.”

Trump says he loves Washington and he has “many friends there.”

“Who knows if it’s the right thing or the wrong thing,” Trump added. “But as far as I’m concerned it’s the right thing to do because I have always loved the state.”
