Auburn Police pursuing elderly, armed bank robbery suspect

The Auburn Police Department (APD) revealed details about a man accused of robbing a bank, asking the public to help identify him.
On May 13, just after 12 p.m., a man allegedly in his 70s walked into Umpqua Bank on A Street S.E. brandishing a gun, Auburn police officers stated. He proceeded to rob the place and leave the scene on foot.
“The suspect displayed a pistol to a bank teller and proceeded to rob the bank,” APD confirmed on social media. “He arrived and fled the scene on foot.”
Officers believe the suspect is in his 70s and is described as having a noticeable hunch in his upper back.
