6 arrested in Hoquiam drug bust after undercover operation

Six people were arrested after the Drug Task Force with the Grays Harbor County Sheriff鈥檚 Office conducted an undercover drug investigation.
The task force conducted multiple “controlled buys of narcotics” on July 9 at a home on the 300 block of Grant Street in Hoquiam from whom they believed was selling illegal narcotics. A controlled buy is an operation used by law enforcement where an informant or an officer goes undercover to buy narcotics from someone they suspect is selling.
“A total of six people were arrested on either drug charges or outstanding warrants,” the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office stated. “A main suspect, a 51-year-old Hoquiam man, was arrested for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.”
The main suspect was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail. The聽 Hoquiam Police Department assisted in the undercover operations and subsequent arrests.
