Police arrest juvenile for alleged stabbing at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo

A juvenile was taken into custody Friday afternoon in connection with a stabbing at Kamiak High School, according to the Mukilteo Police Department.
Officers responded to the school at around 12:15 p.m. after reports of a stabbing incident. Police said the attack occurred approximately 45 minutes before authorities or school staff were notified.
The school鈥檚 resource officer identified and arrested the suspect, who was booked into the Denny Juvenile Detention Center on assault charges.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital by a friend. Police say the victim is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
鈥淭his appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to students or the public,鈥 the department said in a statement. Officials also thanked Kamiak staff for their cooperation.
