Teen stabbed in U-District apartment; suspect caught, arrested an hour later

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed another person in the University District Wednesday afternoon.
SPD officers were called to an apartment in the neighborhood just after 4 p.m. and, when they arrived, they were greeted by an 18-year-old man with a stab wound in his neck. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.
A witness revealed to SPD that the suspect. 32, stabbed the 18-year-old victim in the back of his neck in an acquaintance鈥檚 apartment.
Approximately an hour later, a University of Washington (UW) campus police unit spotted the suspect, fitting the witness and victim’s description of him, and tailed him while SPD made its way to the area. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
SPD and its Homicide and Assault Unit are investigating what led to the stabbing.
