Welfare check in Renton leads to discovery of two bodies, cause unknown

A welfare check in Renton led to the discovery of two bodies inside a condo Tuesday night.

According to the King County Sheriff鈥檚 Office, a concerned friend called 911 to report that someone they knew unexpectedly failed to show up to work for a few consecutive days. Deputies responded to the call and entered the condo, located at the Fairway Green Condos on 149th Ave S.E., and found two bodies inside. One of the bodies was the person who prompted the call for missing work.

There is no concern for public safety at this time, deputies confirmed. It鈥檚 unclear what led up to their deaths, as of this reporting, but the case will be handed to the King County Medical Examiner鈥檚 Office to determine a cause and manner of death.
