Everett bumps up minimum wage after community-led initiative

Everett’s minimum wage is set to increase on July 1, following a community-led to increase it from the current $16.66 an hour.

The will require Everett employers with more than 500 employees to be compensated at $20.24 an hour. Additionally, employers that have between 15 and 500 employees will be paid $18.24 an hour.
Employers with 14 or fewer employees will not be affected.
Companies with fewer than 15 employees or an annual gross revenue of less than $2 million will pay the current state minimum wage of $16.66, according to .
Employers also must pay all tips, gratuities, and service charges to their employees.
Everett 7th city to increase wage higher than state’s
Everett becomes the seventh city to implement a wage increase that is higher than the state’s.
Most recently, Bellingham increased its minimum wage to $18.66 in May.
