The threatening message that led to the Lakewood School District cancelling classes at all five of its schools originated on Snapchat.

A message posted on the says:

In response to this threat, we are cancelling school today October 12, 2016. Law enforcement is on site and looking into this threat. We have sent a message to all of our bus drivers to return students home, and will be going to the bus routes that were not picked up yet to tell students to return home.

The district says a lockdown of the schools and the cancellations were a precaution and no students or staff are in immediate danger.

成人X站 7 reports Snohomish County deputies are obtaining a search warrant to identify where the threat originally came from.
