20-year-old motorcyclist injured after crashing during Tacoma street takeover

A motorcyclist was badly injured in Tacoma’s West End after crashing into a median during a street takeover Friday night, according to .
Officers with the Tacoma Police Department (TPD) arrived at approximately 11 p.m. after hearing reports of reckless driving near 30th Street and North Pearl Street.
Motorcyclist injured during Tacoma street takeover
Roughly 20 bikers had gathered in the area and were driving recklessly, TPD officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune.
Police found a 20-year-old man injured at the 3100 block of North Pearl Street.
TPD officers kept the man alive before paramedics took him to a nearby hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.
It is unclear whether any citations or charges will be issued.
