Everett Community College’s main campus is in lockdown over a threat sent via email, Everett Police Department tells Xվ Newsradio.

The school tweeted this is “Not a drill. Lock doors. Seek shelter. Avoid being seen or heard.”

A spokesperson with Everett Police says it is a “cold threat,” which means it is not “active”.

Two officers are now at the school. Everett Police confirms that there is not an active threat on campus, and an investigation into the email threat is ongoing.

On-campus classes have been canceled due to the threat while online classes are still continuing as scheduled.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
