Now that the weather is finally warming up, finding ways to enjoy the outdoors while getting your daily workout in has never been easier. Substituting the hotel gym with running routes is one way to go.

Hotel staff can tell you where to run, but if you don’t like exercising alone, one option is to connect with a group of local runners. Try the regional branch of the Road Runners Club of America to find out where they’re meeting next.

Don’t forget, this is one of those hobbies that you can combine with sightseeing. has social runs lead by guides in cities across the country.

Options include a Sourdough bakery run in San Francisco, a beer run in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and a White House and Washington Mall 10K.
