Five suspects were detained, leading to one arrest, after two people were shot early Thursday morning in Fife.
The shooting happened near a Motel 6 and Starbucks along 20th Street, just south of I-5 and a few blocks away from Fife High School.
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 1:15 a.m., and once their investigation led them to a hotel room at a Motel 6, police surrounded the place and were seen clearing a room, according to 成人X站 Newsradio. Four men and one woman were taken into custody, but only one was officially arrested.
“We were able to take five adults into custody safely without force. There’s no active threat to the community, and no officers were injured,” Doug Newman, the interim police chief for the Fife Police Department, said. “Right now, we are determining what the involvement of all five that we have in custody were.”
The two victims, both men, were rushed to the hospital. Their condition is currently unknown, as of this reporting, as both are undergoing surgery.
“I come out this morning, and I see some police officers. I talked to the police officers after the fact, and it just sounded like they did their job,” Cole Hansen, a local witness, told 成人X站 Newsradio. “[The officers] were saying things like, ‘Come out.’ ‘Put your hands up.’ ‘Don’t turn around.’ ‘Get on your knees.’ ‘Don’t come out forward.’ Stuff like that.”
Police have not said what led to the shooting.
