Armed man arrested after firing shots, barricades himself in Gold Bar home

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to negotiate with an armed man after he barricaded himself inside a Gold Bar home Thursday.
The standoff happened at a home on May Court Road in Gold Bar after a domestic violence call was received, according to the sheriff鈥檚 office..
Region 1 SWAT was called in to assist after the man reportedly fired several rounds from inside the home. He was alone in the barricaded home.
The Snohomish County Sheriff鈥檚 Office made the decision to evacuate nearby homes after the shots were fired. Other residents were asked to stay inside and avoid the area for safety.
The man was eventually taken into custody, and no injuries were reported.
He is expected to be charged with assault and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
