Murder suspect identified in Longview fatal stabbing case, search ongoing

The Longview Police Department (LPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating an armed murder suspect from Longview.
Alexander Lee Rogers, 51, is a suspect in a homicide investigation that occurred on Aug. 5.
Wanted murder suspect in Longview
Rogers is wanted for fatally stabbing Dawn Peters, 64, of Longview, and the attempted murder of Andrew Peters, 73, of Longview. Peters was reportedly in a stable condition and is recovering in the hospital.
LPD described Rogers as a 6-foot-2-inch tall white male who is approximately 190 pounds. Rogers may drive a partially spray-painted black BMW with a Washington license plate labeled BNU8712.
Rogers is believed to be located in the Clark or Cowlitz county area, and is considered armed and dangerous. If you see Rogers, do not approach and, instead, call 911 immediately.
Images provided by LPD were recorded via bodycam from an unrelated interaction with Rogers on the morning of Aug. 5 at a Fred Meyer in Longview.
LPD noted detectives worked through the night to locate Rogers and investigate the incident.
