Manhunt for Longview murder suspect shifts to Los Angeles area

Law enforcement officers have located the vehicle of a murder suspect from Longview in California Monday, the Longview Police Department (LPD) .
Alexander Lee Rogers, 51, of Longview, has also been captured through video surveillance, and California law enforcement believes he is in the greater Los Angeles area.
Longview murder suspect spotted in Los Angeles
Rogers is wanted for fatally stabbing Dawn Peters, 64, of Longview, and the attempted murder of Andrew Peters, 73, of Longview, on Aug. 5.
Images of Rogers and his vehicle were captured from LPD body cameras during an unrelated interaction with Rogers on the morning of Aug. 5 at a Fred Meyer in Longview.
LPD described Rogers as a 6-foot-2-inch white male, weighing approximately 190 pounds. Rogers drives a partially spray-painted black BMW with a Washington license plate labeled BNU8712.
LPD officers are working with California law enforcement agencies to continue the search for Rogers.
Arrangements are being made for LPD detectives to travel to Los Angeles and process the vehicle for evidence and provide any further assistance in the ongoing investigation.
LPD noted Rogers is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach; call 911 immediately.
