Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes on legalizing marijuana

Could Washington make history by becoming the first state to ever legalize recreational marijuana in the United States?

Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes joined the Wednesday, to discuss his efforts to legalize recreational marijuana in Washington state.

Holmes believes the prohibition of marijuana has cost taxpayers millions to the benefit of drug cartels who profit on the black market.

"We need to recognize that's all prohibition has done, is to support a black market in marijuana," Holmes told Ross & Burbank.
