Centralia Police seek public’s help in $615K heavy equipment theft case /crime_blotter/lewis-county-stolen-equipment/4099233 Fri, 13 Jun 2025 15:55:51 +0000 /?p=4099233 Two men have been booked into Lewis County Jail, accused of allegedly stealing more than $615,000 of heavy machinery over the last seven years.

The (CPD) has asked the community to help identify additional stolen property that may be related to the case.

Stolen equipment in Lewis County

CPD and Lewis County Superior Court documents identified Winlock resident Jonathan Delo, 45, as the primary suspect. He faces three counts of first-degree theft and three counts of first-degree trafficking of stolen property, according to the CPD release.

CPD also labeled Brandon Moore, 49, as a co-conspirator linked to Delo. The two are accused of allegedly stealing and selling stolen equipment in Lewis, Thurston, Cowlitz, and Clark counties.

Delo was arrested on Jan. 26 when an excavator, valued at roughly $92,500, was stolen from a job site in Lewis County. Surveillance video from a nearby church uncovered a dark-colored Ford Super Duty pickup truck with a bright green flatbed trailer towing the stolen excavator, the CPD release stated.

Officers were able to obtain Delo’s license plate information for the pickup and trailer, and the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) used the information to conduct surveillance at an address associated with the trailer on Tennessee Road in Winlock, according to the release.

During the CPD, JNET, and Lewis County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) search warrant, the suspect’s truck arrived on scene but immediately departed after seeing the police on site, the release stated.

Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza intercepted Delo’s pickup truck in the 300 block of Tennessee Road, and the JNET K-9 narcotics detection unit discovered Methamphetamine in Delo’s vehicle.

After Delo’s apprehension, a records check returned several outstanding warrants from Cowlitz County Superior Court for first-degree theft, first-degree trafficking in stolen property, and first-degree theft from Grays Harbor Superior Court, according to the CPD release.

Delo and Moore were booked into the Lewis County Jail on April 15 for theft and trafficking of stolen property. Additionally, Moore was charged with leading organized crime, the CPD release stated.

CPD urged anyone who has purchased heavy equipment from Delo within the last seven years to contact CPD Detective King at (360) 330-7680 to verify its legitimacy.

Port Angeles police took a 55-year-old woman into custody in connection with the 2016 homicide of George David, the Port Angeles Police Department reported Tuesday.

David, 65, was a “respected master woodcarver” from Port Alberni, British Columbia, and was living in Neah Bay at the time of his death in March 2016, the department stated. He was found dead in a Port Angeles apartment, where he had been staying temporarily before planning to visit family in British Columbia and attend a funeral.

The 55-year-old woman was initially identified as a primary suspect and was arrested in April 2016 in Mount Vernon on an outstanding warrant from Arkansas. She is from Arkansas but has ties to Clallam County, police explained.

The woman was taken to Clallam County Jail but was later extradited to Arkansas and incarcerated for violating the conditions of her probation on an unrelated felony conviction for theft.

Port Angeles police reopen cold case with MMIWP

However, in 2024, the Port Angeles Police Department reopened the case in partnership with the MMIWP.

“The task force provided critical support in advancing the investigation, offering culturally informed resources and victim advocacy in this matter of deep importance to Native and cross-border communities,” the department wrote.

The woman has been transported to the Clallam County Jail after coordination with officials in Arkansas. The Washington State Attorney General’s Office will be filing criminal charges in this case, police noted.

“This case has never been forgotten,” Port Angeles Police Chief Brian S. Smith stated, via the release. “The renewed investigation, bolstered by our partnership with the MMIWP Task Force, reflects our commitment to justice and to honoring George David’s memory.”

The woman remains in custody on $1 million bail, with her arraignment scheduled for June 20.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call the Port Angeles Police Department at 360-452-4545 extension 1.

‘Just want to see him home safe’: Wooden bear gifted by late husband stolen in Mount Vernon /jake-and-spike/jwooden-bear-mount-vernon/4098574 Thu, 12 Jun 2025 00:09:28 +0000 /?p=4098574 A cherished wooden bear was stolen from the porch of a Mount Vernon home, Tuesday.

The bear’s owner, Merrylee, told “The Jake and Spike Show” on Xվ Newsradio Wednesday that the bear holds sentimental value, as it was gifted by her late husband as a Christmas present in 1991.

“My husband and I lived in Kirkland at the time, and he had his own wheelhouse tree service in the Redmond Kirkland area, and he had cut a tree down and took the log to a carver out in Fall City, and had this bear carved by this man, I can’t remember his name, and that became my Christmas present for 1991 and it was our first Christmas together,” she said.

Merrylee would even dress up the bear for different occasions. During football season, he would wear his Seahawks shirt, on Halloween, he was Superman, or sometimes he would be casual with a green bow tie.

“He’s a very festive bear,” Jake Skorheim, co-host of “Jake and Spike,” commented.

Merrylee said the bear was wearing a red, white, and blue hat and matching scarf when he was stolen. He is approximately 4 feet tall and weighs 75 pounds. But beyond his charm, the bear is very meaningful to Merrylee.

Wooden bear holds sentimental value for Mount Vernon woman

“Quite a sentimental attachment. My husband passed away in 2018, so this is one of the things that he gave me that is very special to me. And like I say, he’s been sitting on my front porch since 1991,” she shared.

Unfortunately, Merrylee doesn’t have a security camera, and neither do her neighbors.

“I drove around the neighborhood this morning, and I thought to myself, ‘Here’s all these people out here with all this stuff on their lawns, what made my bear stand out, that they would come up onto my porch?’ Because they had to come right up to my front door to get him, and they had to have transportation to take him away. Probably have two men to carry him because he’s right around 75 pounds,” she said.

Merrylee thinks her stolen bear might have been part of a high school prank, adding she just wants to get it back, no questions asked.

“I just want to see him home safe and sound,” she shared.

The bear went missing Monday night from the 400 block of South 28th Street. Anyone with information is asked to call Mount Vernon Police Department’s non-emergency tip line at 360-428-3211.

Teens accused of armed robberies, pistol-whipping kid on bike amid Pierce County crime spree /local/armed-robbery-pierce-county/4098389 Wed, 11 Jun 2025 15:42:56 +0000 /?p=4098389 Deputies arrested two teenagers in Pierce County after they went on a violent crime spree that included pistol-whipping a younger teen on a bicycle.

The suspects, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, were arrested after allegedly committing three separate armed robberies in approximately an hour Monday night.

The teenage suspects stole a customer’s backpack after firing a gun before attacking and robbing two 15-year-olds who were riding their bikes only a mile from the first robbery, according to . The suspects stole both of the bikers’ smartphones after pistol-whipping one of them in the mouth.

Officers track down, arrest teenage suspects

The last alleged armed robbery they conducted was 1.5 miles away at an Arco Gas Station, where they pointed a gun at a woman’s head and stole $50. Officers caught up with the two teenage suspects and arrested them at the Arco gas station.

“We’re lucky our officers were able to put a stop to it, and stop other people from being victimized,” Pierce County Deputy Carly Cappetto told FOX 13. “Who knows if those two had continued on through the night, how many more people would be robbed at gunpoint, how many more stores would have been robbed? And, you know, somebody could have died.”

Both teens were booked on three counts of armed robbery and several counts of assault.

“If it’s not a felony crime, we have nowhere to book them. They’re released back to their parents,” Cappetto added. “And a lot of times if they are booked on felony crimes, they are released back to community custody care, of the environment they were in—which doesn’t help them get better or make better choices.”

Camano Island chase: Undocumented immigrant rams federal cars, injures 2 agents /local/undocumented-immigrant-federal-agents/4097896 Tue, 10 Jun 2025 14:04:42 +0000 /?p=4097896 A Mexican citizen living illegally in Stanwood was charged with two counts of assault on a federal officer in U.S. District Court in Seattle.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO), U.S. Border Patrol, and Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations (CBP AMO) have all been in pursuit of Victor Vivanco-Reyes, 25, after he injured two law enforcement officials in an intentional car collision.

According to a criminal complaint, HSI Special Agents attempted to locate Vivanco-Reyes in the Mount Vernon area. When the agents spotted his vehicle in a residential area, they flashed their lights and activated their sirens to get Vivanco-Reyes to stop. Instead, Vivanco-Reyes drove off at a high rate of speed. The agents stopped pursuing him due to his reckless driving.

Vivanco-Reyes spotted 2 weeks later

Approximately two weeks later, agents with HSI, ERO, the U.S. Border Patrol, and CBP AMO were able to locate Vivanco-Reyes in a work truck towing a trailer on Cascade View Drive on Camano Island.

“Using three different vehicles, the federal agents attempted to block the north and southbound lanes so that Vivanco-Reyes could be taken into custody,” the U.S. District Court stated in a release. “When the agents activated their lights, the truck and trailer accelerated right at one of the vehicles, hitting it on the front passenger side. Ultimately, the truck and trailer crashed head-on into another government car that was a short distance down the road. The truck continued on, driving into a ditch and hitting a power pole.”

Vivanco-Reyes tried to flee on foot, but was taken into custody. Two agents were injured in the collision and were taken to local hospitals.

Assault on a federal agent with a deadly weapon is punishable by a term of imprisonment of up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine. Vivanco-Reyes is currently detained, awaiting a hearing scheduled for June 13.

Former Kent resident stole from new employer while awaiting prison for $2.5M fraud /crime_blotter/kent-everett-woman-sentenced/4097589 Mon, 09 Jun 2025 23:00:20 +0000 /?p=4097589 A 45-year-old woman, formerly from Kent, was sentenced on June 6 for stealing from her new employer while awaiting sentencing for stealing from a past employer.

Christin Guillory was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Seattle to 12 months and one day in prison, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Teal Luthy Miller.

The sentence is in addition to a 2023 ruling where Guillory was sentenced to three years in prison for stealing more than $2.5 million from an Everett manufacturing company, where she served as an accounting manager, according to a release from the (DOJ).

Guillory’s sentencing

Guillory pleaded guilty to the crime in 2023, and while awaiting sentencing, secretly stole tens of thousands of dollars from her second employer, the release stated.

She was ordered by the court to notify her new employer about her ongoing prosecution, but failed to do so.

Guillory falsely told the probation office that she had informed her new employer of the ongoing prosecution and provided a falsified email.

“Guillory continued to work for, and embezzle funds from, her employer until she reported to prison to serve her sentence,” the release stated. “The new employer learned of the prosecution only after Guillory failed to report for work without explanation when she reported to serve her sentence.”

Guillory’s court hearing

U.S. Attorney Miller stated that Guillory repeatedly lied about various details.

“The defendant lied to the court, to the probation office, and to the second company that had unwittingly placed her in a position of trust,” Miller said. “Instead of disclosing the truth about her federal conviction for embezzlement, Ms. Guillory lied to her employer and once again repeatedly stole money until the day she reported to prison.”

According to court documents, Guillory began working for a company in Kent after she was fired for stealing $2.5 million in Everett.

“Guillory never told her Kent employer about the conviction, and she had already begun embezzling from that company,” according to the release. “Between January and August 2023, she attempted to steal some $60,000 by altering checks made out to vendors, manipulating the payroll system to increase her own paycheck, or simply writing checks to herself.”

Guillory did not notify her new employer that she was leaving, and her absence at work notified the company of her prior embezzlement case.

“The company was able to reverse some of the transactions, but is still owed $42,000. That amount is now added on to the restitution from the earlier case,” the release stated. “In 2023, Judge Martinez ordered restitution of $2,536,086 to the Everett company and $590,850 to the U.S. Treasury for her failure to pay tax on the ill-gotten gain.”

The suspects sprayed the nanny with bear spray and stole thousands of dollars worth of valuables while three children were inside the home, according to .

Macklemore’s home burglarized

SPD officers responded to Macklemore’s home around 1 a.m. after a call reported an active burglary involving a chemical assault, according to .

Officers described the home as belonging to a “high-profile individual” and matched the address listed on Macklemore’s voter registration, but his name was not listed in the official report, Xվ 7 stated.

According to the , the nanny told officers she put the children to bed, and two men entered through the patio door.

One of the suspects sprayed the nanny in the face with bear spray, which temporarily blinded her, and then the same suspect helped to clean her eyes, according to Xվ 7.

SPD said that the suspects stole jewelry, watches, and shoes before pushing the nanny down and stealing her phone, Xվ 7 stated.

The woman bit one of the intruders, escaped the house, and fled to a neighbor’s home to call 911, according to The Seattle Times.

Both suspects were caught on surveillance video wearing tactical-style vests, gloves, and facial coverings.

No firearms were reported, the three children were unharmed, and SPD confirmed that thousands of dollars worth of items were stolen.

Recent string of Seattle burglaries

Macklemore’s home robbery comes days after a string of burglaries targeted high-profile Seattle athletes.
