Deftones drop by the mixtape and help me make this the best one yet!
Deftones brand new album, Diamond Eyes, was released just this week after the boys decided to shelve the album they were working on before, Eros, when bassist Chi Cheng was involved in a massive car wreck and in turn fell into a deep coma.

Bop Street Records in Ballard is moving and everything is on sale!
Six years ago, after arriving to the states from the U.K. having lived there for 6 months and just coming off of a gnarly breakup, I moved into a tiny studio apartment in downtown Seattle to start fresh. I didn’t have much and I didn’t need much either. My shoebox studio was perfect as it […]15 years ago

Kristina gets a lip tattoo…
Trina may be the ‘Diamond Princess’ but she is no longer, by any stretch of the imagination, ‘Da Baddest B*tch’. Special lady friend Kristina has taken over the role that Trina had championed since 2000 when this past weekend we ventured to Under the Needle and she got a really badass lip tattoo. You can […]15 years ago
Check some local music that you will adore.
This weeks mixtape is awesome! And I’m not just saying that because I produce and host the show every week. Ok, maybe that plays a teeny tiny part. Anywhoo…if you like some of the bands that have come out of Seattle over the years then I think you’ll dig what I’ve got on tap for […]15 years ago

These videos will kill your entire family and leave the carcasses for the vultures.
Within the last two days I received e-mails from two separate people regarding music videos I should check out. It just so happens that the videos share the same director, Romain-Gavras. These videos are ferocious and will leave you feeling anxious, stressed, mortified and angry. I have now found another in a long line of […]15 years ago

Sean’s Night Out: La Roux
Yesterday morning I was purchasing a couple of tickets to last nights how at the Showbox Market. I was getting progressively frustrated as the damn ticket price kept increasing upon each click of the mouse. Convenience charge here, random fee there, but this is how it goes. I was so very tempted to just get the tickets at the door because c'mon, who knows about La Roux? This show won't sell out. I decided however to stay put and buy the golden tickets on-line as I've made the mistake of hoping on a prayer and it totally not working out. (Sleighbells and Yeasayer tonight for example, but that's another story for another day.)15 years ago
Brand new LCD Soundsystem here!
I have finally jumped on board the LCD Soundsystem bandwagon and I’m loving every minute of it, Jerry! That last part is an obscure reference to Seinfeld. You’re welcome. Anywhoo…I’m surprised I never fully embraced LCD seeing as they have a song called ‘Daft Punk Is Playing At My House’ and I loooove Daft Punk! […]15 years ago

Jason Bitner has put together the coolest book imaginable called Cassette From My Ex and he’s here to chat about it!
I’ve been making mixtapes (yes, the actual cassette kind and not this cd bullsh*t) since the day I discovered cassettes and music. In high school I made stacks of mixes taped direct from the radio waves and throughout college and into my proper adult life mixtapes were and still are a huge part of my […]15 years ago
