Cymbals Eat Guitars played the Crocodile last night to an overwhelmingly small crowd . Or, maybe I should say they played to an overwhelmingly intimate crowd.

Cymbals Eat Guitars are from Staten Island, NY and over the last few years have been making some waves in the music world . The band first gained some buzz in 2009 when their self-released debut album Why There Are Mountains was included in Pitchfork Media's 'Best New Music' category and as of this past August 2011 we have the release of their latest LP, Lenses Alien.

Decibel Festival 2011 proved to be another great success . Thursday night I headed down to The Showbox Market to catch a bit of Geographer, Depressed Buttons and Ladytron and Friday was the absolute best what with Mux Mool, Starslinger and Martyn performing around Seattle.

Tonight marks the third night of Decibel Festival and there are a crap ton of some of the best electronic artists hitting the clubs of Seattle that you need to know about.

Decibel Festival 2011 is underway and last night the streets of Seattle were crawling with people wanting to get their fix of the best electro/techno/house/chill/drum and bass and every other genre you can come up with from around the world, around the country and from our very own city, which in itself, boasts an impressive lot of artists performing this year.

At first glance I was not impressed with the Bumbershoot line-up whatsoever . Sure, big name headliners like Ray LaMontagne & the Pariah Dogs, The Presidents of the United States of America, Wiz Khalifa, Broken Social Scene, Big Boi and the always amazing Hall & Oates will be around for my entertainment which is all fine and good, but I wasn't completely blown away.
